Hacker accumulated 37 derby points with 6 wins. He made the Derby List at 18 months and finished 6th on the National Derby List for 2018. He won the Dottie Metcalf Memorial Trophy for 2018 given by the Women's Field Trial Club. He also won the Water Dog trophy from the Maine Retriever Trial Club.
On October 3, 2020, just 3 days after he turned 4, he won Tar Heel's Open in New Boston, VA with Alan Pleasant handling. This was his third open competition.
On October 24, 2020, he got a second in the open at the Women's Field Trial Club trial in Maryland with Hunter Street handling him. He qualified for the 2020 National Open in Giddings, TX.
He earned his FC by placing second at the Cape Fear trial on 3/19/21.
Hacker sustained a severe injury in June of 2021. After almost two years of rehab, he was back for limited trialing in 2023 and began placing again.
Hacker qualified for the National Amateur Retriever Championship in June 2024 in Waterville, ME and went 7 series..
